Season 1, Episode 08 –

Makiko, who is thought to have secretly taken the murder weapon, a handgun, that Naoto had hidden, disappears with her son, Masaki (Kira Miura)! There must still be bullets left in the gun… The worst-case scenario crosses Junichi’s mind, and he feels a sense of unease. Meanwhile, Keisuke tells Junichi, “There’s something I’m hiding from you,” and goes to see Detective Minami Rikako (Noriko Eguchi), who is in charge of the investigation. But why? Detective Rikako Minami (Noriko Eguchi), who was re-examining the crime scene with Junichi and three of his classmates, warns them not to reveal anything about their conversation. Junichi is confused when he learns that Minami has no intention of reporting the incident to the police higher-ups. Minami then quietly replies, “That case isn’t over yet.” Meanwhile, the investigation into the murder of a supermarket manager, to which Naoto confessed, is proving difficult as the murder weapon, a handgun, has yet to be found. Meanwhile, Minami Ryo visits Makiko again, whose alibi for the night of the incident has been shattered, and asks, “Can we just keep what we’re about to discuss between the two of us?” Minami Ryo’s “secret visit” leads to a sudden turn of events that no one could have predicted!
